
END CAVES
In this historical place a powerful artillery of the Paraguayan army settled
down that invaded the province in 1865.
The battle of End Caves definitively determined the absolute superiority
of the Parana river by the allied forces and the retirement of the
provincial territory of the army of Paraguay.
In the combat of the 12 of May of 1865 the Ferré naval cadet (son of the
founder) and the son of Colonel Py died. Location: passing the Zone of the
Toropí, continuing by provincial route 27, one is to 20 kilometers to the
south of the city, in the place still are rest of armaments of the time.
